Skyline Loses to Rigby in OT

Poor freethrow shooting resulted in a 44-37 overtime loss to Rigby Thursday night in Skyline's home opener. The team went to the old gym and had an intense practice following the game, and committed to shoot 200 freethrows and keep track of their makes and misses before practice on Friday.

Boys Basketball Tryouts

Friday, November 14th marks the first day of the high school basketball season for boys in Idaho. The Skyline players have been working hard, and over 40 kids have been coming to open gym since the football season ended. There will be a great deal of competition for the spots on the JV and Varsity teams for Skyline, which will make for some very difficult decisions by the coaching staff. Ty Shippen, head varsity coach, is joined by Travis Jenkins, head JV coach, and assistants Clint Cornish, Emmett Shippen, and Dave Bell.

Tryouts will consist of three practices: Friday after school, Saturday at 9 a.m., and Saturday at 1 p.m. Team rosters will be posted on Monday. Questions? Email coachshippen@idahohoops.net
